Senior Manager, Strategic Partnership and Resources Development

BGC East Scarborough is seeking a strategic, creative, and energetic individual to take on the role Senior Manager, Strategic Partnership and Resources Development. This position is responsible for managing and implementing a comprehensive plan for donor acquisition and stewardship. The Senior Manager will collaborate Director of Programs & Community Services to develop and implement a comprehensive Stewardship and Donor Relations strategy. 

 

Report to: Directors of Programs & Community Services

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities of this position include:

 

·         Collaborate with the Director of Programs & Community Services to conduct feasibility studies, develop campaign strategies, and define sub-goals.

·         Lead campaign communications and donor cultivation plans while coordinating all related events and outreach activities.

·         Identify, recruit, and engage a campaign steering committee and other key stakeholders.

·         Develop and execute in-kind donation strategies and oversee the solicitation of gifts from individual, corporate, and foundation donors.

·         Lead grant prospecting, application development, and reporting in coordination with internal teams and volunteers.

·         Design and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy aligned with organizational goals, while maintaining strong relationships with local, provincial, and federal officials.

·         Collaborate across departments to identify funding opportunities and ensure compliance with relevant government regulations and policies.

·         Coordinate and participate in donor visits and solicitations independently and in partnership with board or committee members.

·         Establish and manage tracking systems for donor recognition, communication, and relationship cultivation to support retention and growth.

·         Steward a portfolio of major donors through personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies.

·         Develop consistent and meaningful communication mechanisms to ensure positive donor experiences and long-term engagement.

·         Supervise the Marketing and Communication Specialist and Communications Assistants.

·         Oversee the development and execution of marketing and branding strategies that promote organizational visibility, loyalty, and engagement.

·         Manage the creation, design, and distribution of all promotional and fundraising materials, including content for product launches, events, and campaigns.

·         Utilize and maintain a fundraising CRM system to ensure donor information is current, accurate, and secure.

·         Monitor and report on stewardship outcomes, donor engagement activities, and sustainability metrics.

·         Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the Communications Assistant, Coordinator of Volunteer Services, and Marketing & Fundraising Committee.

·         Conduct regular performance evaluations and support ongoing professional development initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

·         Relevant degree/certificate(s) in fundraising, event management, or non-profit management is an asset

·         2-3 years of relevant fundraising experience in fundraising initiatives that extend beyond events-based fundraising

·         Demonstrated experience working in a not-for-profit sector

·         Demonstrated success in building fundraising & stewardship strategies, planning events, and managing staff

·         Demonstrated attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities
