RECE-Straight Shift
As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will follow the ELECT and HDLH frameworks to design and implement developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive activities that support the cognitive, emotional, physical, and social growth of kindergarten and school-age children. You will guide behavior, supervise daily routines, and foster positive interactions to ensure a supportive and inclusive childcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement inclusive, age-appropriate activities
- Support children's development aligned with ELECT and HDLH
- Provide daily guidance and supervision in a licensed childcare setting
- Communicate professionally with children, families, and staff
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
Must Have
- Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (in good standing)
- Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act, AQI, Provincial Licensing Standards, ELECT framework and How Does Learning Happen?
- Minimum 2 years of RECE experience
- Strong planning skills for developmentally appropriate and bias-free programming
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and teamwork
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible work ethic
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Up-to-date health assessment including TB test
Nice to have
- Experience supporting children with special needs
- HIGH FIVE certification
- Additional language skills
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
